Some of the sailing world's great racers, designers, and boat owners have been present over the years, and this year's event will be no exception. They will compete for the grand prize, which will symbolize the "Boat of the Week," awarded to the yacht taking first in the class with the closest most competitive racing.
It will also be an opportunity for competitors and visitors alike to escape some of the colder northern regions and visit the tropical waters and warm winters of Key West.
Doran Cushing, writing for Southwinds, will be covering the event.
